Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is training female coaches as part of efforts to boost the number of women officiating in the sport.

The training dubbed CAF C coaching course is being held at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) in Nairobi.

Some 30 female coaches from across the country are at the training, which kicked off October 14, 2024 and will run until November 18, 2024.

The course seeks to help the coaches excel in their careers, ultimately contributing to the development of women football in the country.

FKF said in a statement that accomplished CAF instructors Jackline Juma and Beldine Odemba are doing the training.

Juma, who trains Talanta FC, has made history as the first female head coach in the FKF Premier League while Odemba guided Kenya Police Bullets to clinch maiden FKF Women’s Premier League title.

The coaches bring a wealth of experience and success, making them ideal mentors for the next generation of female coaches.
